Seavington House

SOUTHWARK - IN PROGRESS

BBUK were appointed by London Borough of Southwark to collaborate with Maccreanor Lavington Architects on Seavington Court, which is being developed to provide approximately 24 new homes for social rent. The site is located half-way between Denmark Hill and East Dulwich train stations.

The landscape brief is to provide amenity and play areas in accordance with The London Plan 2021 and LB Southwark policy. This includes cycle parking and designing sensitively to retain the maximum number of existing trees on the site. The landscape seeks to build on the architectural proposals enhancing them and creating a site-specific response so that the new homes sit comfortably within the local context. Our scheme will provide sustainable amenity spaces which enhance the existing local context by introducing a range of planted spaces alongside ground floor private residents’ gardens, and incorprating a sheltered courtyard with grow gardens in the centre of the site.
