The Post Building
An extensive roof garden across the ninth floor of a new building in Oxford Street made up predominantly of offices. Part of the garden will be open to the public and this section has multi stemmed cherry trees, underplanted with evergreen grasses, low shrubs and perennials. Seating has been incorporated into the planters so visitors can enjoy far reaching views across London.
The remainder of the roof terrace is retained for use by the building’s tenants, who have been provided with an area of external meeting rooms, divided from each other with hedges, a sundowner terrace that faces west, and lunch area with seating surrounded by plantings of edible plants.
Part of the building is residential with a communal garden for the occupiers. There is doorstep play at its heart surrounded with new planting of shrubs and small trees.
