Bridgewater Triangle Bridge

Working as part of a team led by Expedition Engineers, BBUK have designed the public realm that runs adjacent to the new Bridgewater Triangle development. A new bridge designed by William Matthews Associates replaces an existing construction over the Waterworks River and will connect to the rest of Stratford and the 600-home Bridgewater Triangle development by Mikhail Riches that we are also working on.
Proposals have been made for the landing areas on both sides of the new bridge and for the reintroduction of the towpath on the Western side of the river which runs parallel to the proposed housing scheme. This incorporates a central split-level garden terrace populated with mature trees, seating areas and walkways to create a relaxing fully accessible public space.
