Acton Gardens Phase 3.1
ACTON - COMPLETED 2020
Acton Gardens Phase 3.1 was the first phase of South Acton’s regeneration to be designed after the approval of the original 2350 home masterplan for the estate.
Collaborating with Stitch Architects, Countryside Properties and L and Q Housing Association, BBUK worked up proposals for this mixed use development in South Acton for Acton Gardens LLP.
New mixed tenure housing replaces an existing block of local authority flats. A cafe and community center are sited on the ground floor opening out onto a new square. The square forms an entrance space into South Acton Estate from the South Acton Overground Station. BBUK carried out consultation on the proposed public open spaces with local residents’ groups and the London Overground Rail Operations and Network Rail.
