Harriet

Bourne

After a career in fashion, Harriet Bourne studied landscape architecture and worked in urban design and landscape architecture practices before setting up BBUK. Since the inception of the practice Harriet has run projects ranging in size from large scale urban design and landscape strategy and master planning projects through to detailed design and implementation of a range of schemes both in the United Kingdom and abroad.

Kalugina

Jenia has a distinction from Moscow Academic College and was awarded a first-class degree from BCUC in Spatial Design.  She has worked for BBUK since 2003 running projects in UK and abroad from initial sketch ideas through to detail design and inspecting works on site.

Martyna Berek

Having previously worked in contracts and administration, Martyna Berek changed her career and studied landscape design, being awarded a first-class degree at BCUC in summer 2005. She worked part-time at BBUK for the last 2 years of her studies and was offered a full-time position in February 2005 and has worked for the practice on an off since then. Martyna is a talented designer with excellent plant knowledge.

Michele Beraldo

After qualifying from University of Genoa Michele worked initially in his native Italy for two years. Following this he worked for a large practice in the Netherlands. Since joining BBUK Michele has been a key member of the team running a number of projects at various scales across the UK.

Andrew
Batt

Andrew Batt joined BBUK in 2021, after gaining extensive experience as a Practice Manager at a number of notable Architectural practices including Jamie Fobert Architects, De Matos Ryan, Delvendahl Martin, Benedetti Architects and Stanton Williams. In his role as Practice Manager, Andrew oversees finance, business development and the day-to-day running of the practice. He is also responsible for BBUK’s communications, publicity and marketing.

Tan

Roy’s professional career has previously been based in Hong Kong where he has worked in Landscape design and project management on several residential developments, public spaces, and resort projects both in HK and overseas. After completing a Master’s in Design in Urban Environments at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2016, Roy has worked at ACLA Ltd and LWK & Partners. He joined BBUK at the start of 2023.

Hamid

Humza studied architecture at Cambridge and completed his academic studies with an MA in architecture at Royal College of Art.  Between the two he worked in Karachi for Arcop Associates one of Pakistan’s largest design led architectural firms. At the RCA Humza realised his interests primarily lay in landscape and he now brings his rich and varied experience to BBUK where he will work to shape the spaces between buildings.

Following a career spanning over 20 years as a Senior Health Advisor, Dilip gained a RHS Certificate and then a RHS Diploma in Horticulture in 2000 and 2002 respectively. Immediately on completion of his MA at The University of Greenwich, Dilip started working for BBUK where his extensive plant knowledge has meant he has very quickly become and invaluable member of the team. Dilip has an exceptional horticultural knowledge built up over many years of growing, observing and specifying planting schemes.

Annabelle joins us again after finishing her Masters in Landscape Architecture at the University of Edinburgh 2019. Annabelle has begun to gather experience in a broad range of areas and since starting she has worked on the design of a competition entry as well as illustrative drawings and preparing tender packages.

Abbie

Abbie Johnson

Abbie studied at Sheffield University completing her MA in 2019.  During her year out she worked at James Blake Associates in Suffolk, working primarily on residential schemes.  In her final year at Sheffield Abbie’s projects focussed on landscapes that can help unify communities. Since starting at BBUK Abbie has worked on detail design and planning packages for a variety of projects.

Ali

Following her MLA in Landscape Architecture in 2018 Yousr worked in private practice and in Wellington City Council in New Zealand as a graduate landscape architect for a year.  In June 2019 she relocated to London to join BBUK where she has quickly settled to become a key member of the team producing beautiful illustrative drawings and assisting with technical packages for tender and construction issues for a variety of projects.

Guzin

Guzin Oztok

Guzin studied in Istanbul where she also worked as an Editor on a number of architectural and design publications before coming to London in 2018. She joined Refolo Landscape Architects, working on small and medium scale residential projects. After this she collaborated with the research team at Royal Holloway University of London on a short term empirical research project about landscape perception. She joined BBUK in 2021.

Tang

Qing studied Landscape Architecture in America at the Ohio State University before completing her masters at University College London in 2021. During her studies she worked as an intern at the Shaanxi institute of Urban/Rural planning and design in China. Since completing her masters, she has been working as a landscape architect for ecoLogicStudio, the innovative architectural and urban design practice that specialises in environmental design. Qing joined BBUK in the autumn of 2022.

Khrystyna studied Architecture and Urban Planning in her native Ukraine at the Kharkiv National University of Civil Engineering and Architecture, completing her masters in 2018. During her studies she worked as a junior architect at the Architecture Bureau in Kharkiv, and worked for the practice as an architect and project co-ordinator after completing her masters. During her time at the Architecture Bureau she was a key team member on the Sarzhin Yar Park project which was nominated for the Architizer A+Awards and the Architecture MasterPrize in 2022. This project solidified her interest in Landscape and when the war started following the full scale invasion of Ukraine she relocated to London, joining BBUK late in 2022. Before leaving Ukraine Khrystyna worked as a tutor and coordinator of technical modules at the Private University the Kharkiv School of Architecture.
